Are you eager to explore the underwater world but not yet ready for a full Open Water Scuba Diver Course? The SDI Supervised Diver Program is designed for you, introducing you to all of the same subjects and skills as the Open Water Scuba Diver course; however, the in-water training is abbreviated to save time. The SDI Supervised Diver certification will allow you to dive under direct supervision of a diving professional for a period of 12 months! If you decide to upgrade to the Open Water Scuba Diver, simply complete 2 additional open water checkout dives to earn your full certification.

Who Is This Course For?
👥 Aspiring Divers: Ideal for anyone curious about scuba diving who doesn’t have time or isn’t sure about completing the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver.
What You Will Learn:
🔷 History of Diving - Learn about the evolution of diving.
🔷 The Aquatic Environment - Understand vision, light, sound, heat loss, tides, currents, waves, and surge.
🔷 Marine Life - Know how to handle encounters with marine life.
🔷 Physics & Physiology - Study buoyancy, pressure, Boyle’s Law, air spaces, and breathing gas under pressure.
🔷 Scuba Equipment - Get familiar with your mask, fins, snorkel, exposure protection suit, BCD/wing, regulator, cylinders, weight systems, instruments, and accessories.
🔷 Dive Planning - Learn about diver fitness and over exertion, underwater orientation, boat/shore procedures, the buddy system, and how to conduct dives.
Required Skills:
🏊 Swimming Evaluation:
- Distance swim of 200 metres non-stop using any stroke without the use of mask, snorkel or any swimming aids, or 300 metres non-stop using mask, snorkel, and fins.
- A 10-minute survival swim/float.
🔧 Scuba Skills: Assemble/disassemble your scuba system, adjust and manage your weight system at surface and depth, partial and full mask clear at depth, breathing underwater without a mask, hovering, buoyancy control, perform pre-dive checks for yourself and your buddy…
🤿 Equipment Use: Learn to read and understand dive computers and gauges, and practice effective underwater communication.
🚨 Rescue & Emergency Procedures: Develop techniques in towing tired divers, cramp relief, the use of alternate gas source; gas sharing with a buddy while making a controlled ascent.

The SDI e-Learning materials are accessible in multiple languages. At B&W Diving, we are pleased to provide in-person dive training in English, French, Spanish, and Japanese. Please note that comprehension of the training language is crucial for effective learning and maintaining safety throughout your course.
Duration:
It normally takes 2 days; however, at our facility, certification is earned, not given, it is subjected to the instructor’s discretion based on your comfort level in the water. We will try our best to help you complete the course in the recommended time, but if extra training days are required, it will incur in extra fees.

- Land transport from the dive center to the dive site and return when applicable

Cancellation Policy:
We understand that unexpected changes can occur, but due to the logistical arrangements involved, the following cancellation fees apply:
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled course will incur in a 100% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled course will incur in a 50% cancellation fee.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please inform us as early as possible so we can assist you accordingly and try to accommodate your request.
