CCR Try Dive
CCR Try Dive - You'll be hooked
Your first breath on a rebreather. A different way to experience the underwater world.
There’s something special about hearing the sounds of the underwater world without the noisy bubbles. You camouflage with the fish, more marine life approaches you, and you can extend your bottom time safely.
Our CCR Try Dive Experience gives you the opportunity to experience closed-circuit rebreather diving giving you the time to get comfortable and truly enjoy the experience. At Black & White Diving, we want you to understand what you’re trying. We’ll introduce you to how a rebreather works, explain what changes from open-circuit diving and guide you through your first breaths before exploring underwater together.
Available on the Divesoft Liberty in both Backmount and Sidemount configurations, with the Halcyon Symbios coming soon. We’ll discuss the most suitable configuration with you before confirming your booking.

Questions & answers
Good to know
Can’t find your answer? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I try a rebreather before booking a course?
Yes! Our Liberty Try Dive lets you experience rebreather diving in calm, shallow water, with a full briefing and kit set-up.
Do I need my own rebreather?
No. We have Divesoft Liberty rebreathers available to rent during your training.
Backmount or sidemount Liberty?
Both use the same Liberty electronics and loop. Backmount is classic and very stable; sidemount is modular and great for travel and tight spaces. We’ll help you choose.
What experience do I need?
Prerequisites depend on the course. Send us your certifications and logged dives and we’ll tell you where to start.
Do you also service rebreathers?
Yes. We are certified Divesoft Liberty service technicians and can have your unit serviced and ready before your trip ends.
When will Halcyon Symbios training be available?
Halcyon Symbios chestmount training is coming soon. Get in touch and we’ll let you know as soon as courses start.
