B&W Signature Tech Discovery - Find your next step
Don’t choose your configuration until you've dived it.
Before committing to technical training, or investing in an entirely new equipment configuration, take the time to experience it properly.
Our Signature Tech Discovery Program introduces you to twinset or sidemount diving through personalised equipment fitting, practical instruction and meaningful time in the water. Discover how each configuration feels, what changes from your current setup and how it suits the diving you want to do.
Choose one configuration to explore, or experience both with the upgrade to the Signature Tech Discovery Premium Program.
Choose Your Edition
Twinset Edition: experience the balance and feel of a twinset. We’ll guide you through the backplate and wing setup, harness adjustment, cylinder positioning and longhose regulator configuration before working on comfort, buoyancy and movement underwater.
Sidemount Edition: discover what changes when your cylinders mount to your sides. Explore harness fitting, cylinder attachment, hose routing and an introduction to gas management, followed by in-water coaching to refine cylinder positioning, balance and movement.

What’s In It For You?
✅ Experience Before Investment: Understand how a configuration feels before committing to equipment or a full course.
✅ A Setup Fitted to You: Experience equipment with proper fitting and guidance, giving you a useful basis for judging it.
✅ Time to Get Comfortable: Move beyond those first unfamiliar minutes and begin to understand the platform.
✅ Personalised Advice: Discuss your goals and questions with an instructor who can help you assess your options.
This is a supervised, non-certification introduction. It does not qualify you to dive a new configuration independently, conduct decompression dives or extend your existing diving qualifications or depth limits.

Questions & answers
Good to know
Can’t find your answer? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
You need to be comfortable in the water. Before your first certification you complete a short swim and a 10-minute float, at your own pace and without a time limit. If you feel unsure, just tell us and we’ll help you get comfortable.
Is there a minimum age?
Most beginner courses start from age 10, with depth limits for younger divers. Specialty and Rescue courses have their own minimum ages. Get in touch and we’ll find the right course for you or your child.
Do I need a medical certificate?
Before diving you fill in a standard diver medical questionnaire. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you’ll need a doctor’s approval before getting in the water. Not sure? Send us a message and we’ll explain.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. We provide all the equipment you need for your course. If you have your own gear, you’re very welcome to bring it, and we can also help you choose equipment that fits you perfectly.
PADI or SDI: which should I choose?
Both give you an internationally recognised certification that lets you dive anywhere in the world. PADI is the best-known name worldwide; SDI is a modern, computer-based system from the same family as TDI, which makes the step into technical diving very smooth. We’re happy to explain the differences.
How long should I wait before flying after diving?
As a general guideline, wait at least 12 hours after a single dive and at least 18 hours after several dives or several days of diving. Plan your last dive day with your flight in mind and we’ll help you schedule it.
