B&W Signature Tech Discovery Premium - Find Your Next Step
Don’t choose your configuration until you’ve dived both.
Before committing to technical training or investing in new equipment, discover how twinset and sidemount actually feel underwater.
Our Signature Tech Discovery Premium Program gives you the opportunity to experience both configurations through individual equipment fitting, personalised coaching and meaningful time in the water.
Over three days, explore the differences in balance, movement, equipment handling and practicality. Go beyond comparing equipment on paper and find out what suits you and the diving you want to do.
Two Configurations. One Personalised Experience.
Twinset: experience the balance and feel of a twinset. We’ll guide you through the backplate and wing setup, harness adjustment, cylinder positioning and long-hose regulator configuration before working on comfort, buoyancy and movement underwater.
Sidemount: discover what changes when your cylinders mount to your sides. Explore harness fitting, cylinder attachment, hose routing and an introduction to gas management, followed by in-water coaching to refine cylinder positioning, balance and movement.
Compare Through Experience
Reflect on both setups with your instructor. Discuss comfort, control, preparation and handling alongside your diving goals, travel habits and preferred environments to make an informed decision about your next step.
Who Is This Program For?
👥 Certified divers curious about technical diving who want to experience both configurations before committing to further training.
🔄 Divers familiar with one configuration who want to explore the other and compare their options with personalised guidance.
🌊 Divers planning their next training step who want to understand which setup suits their goals.

🔘 Individual Fit & Adjustment: Explore harness fit, cylinder positioning, weighting and equipment accessibility, with each setup adjusted for you.
🔘 Gas Supply & Awareness: Get an introduction to the regulator arrangements, gas monitoring and gas management considerations of each configuration.

🔘 Propulsion & Movement: Apply your skills to both platforms, working on efficient movement and control.
🔘 Handling & Practicality: Experience the preparation, entry, exit and equipment handling involved in each setup.
🔘 Comparison & Next Steps: Discuss your experience of both configurations, suitable training pathways and equipment choices.
What’s In It For You?
✅ Experience Both Before Investing: Base your decision on time in the water.
✅ Equipment Fitted to You: Give each configuration a meaningful try with individual fitting and adjustments.
✅ Time to Get Comfortable: Move beyond those first unfamiliar minutes and begin to understand each platform.
✅ Personalised Coaching: Work on the adjustments and skills that make the biggest difference to your experience.
✅ An Informed Next Step: Leave with a clearer understanding of your preferences and the training needed to progress.
This is a supervised, non-certification introduction. It does not qualify you to dive a new configuration independently, conduct decompression dives or extend your existing diving qualifications or depth limits.
In-person instruction is available in English, French, Spanish and Japanese. You must be able to understand the briefing and communicate clearly with your instructor throughout the program.
Program Rate
From €660 per person for the three day program, including individual equipment fitting and coaching in both twinset and sidemount.
Duration
Allow three full days for equipment fitting, briefings, in water coaching in both configurations and debriefs.
Three days is usually sufficient, but completion within this timeframe remains at the instructor’s discretion, based on your progress and comfort. If additional time is needed, we’ll discuss the options and any associated costs with you. We’ll maximise your time in the water, with space to make adjustments, ask questions and get a meaningful feel for both setups.
What Is Included?
Your program includes a dedicated technical instructor, individual fitting and coaching in both configurations, twinset and sidemount equipment, cylinders, gas up to Nitrox 32%, weights and all other diving equipment required for the program, excluding drysuit and DPV. Technical facility use and land transport are also included.
Additional costs: Gas above Nitrox 32%, extra cylinders, and any ferry or boat fees are charged separately.

Questions & answers
Good to know
Can’t find your answer? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
You need to be comfortable in the water. Before your first certification you complete a short swim and a 10-minute float, at your own pace and without a time limit. If you feel unsure, just tell us and we’ll help you get comfortable.
Is there a minimum age?
Most beginner courses start from age 10, with depth limits for younger divers. Specialty and Rescue courses have their own minimum ages. Get in touch and we’ll find the right course for you or your child.
Do I need a medical certificate?
Before diving you fill in a standard diver medical questionnaire. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you’ll need a doctor’s approval before getting in the water. Not sure? Send us a message and we’ll explain.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. We provide all the equipment you need for your course. If you have your own gear, you’re very welcome to bring it, and we can also help you choose equipment that fits you perfectly.
PADI or SDI: which should I choose?
Both give you an internationally recognised certification that lets you dive anywhere in the world. PADI is the best-known name worldwide; SDI is a modern, computer-based system from the same family as TDI, which makes the step into technical diving very smooth. We’re happy to explain the differences.
How long should I wait before flying after diving?
As a general guideline, wait at least 12 hours after a single dive and at least 18 hours after several dives or several days of diving. Plan your last dive day with your flight in mind and we’ll help you schedule it.
